Re: 2500 List for Friendly game
I think it looks pretty solid. Considering the choice of PGs (as well as that spear block and DPs) I think Shadow is a good choice. However, if you are mainly meeting DoC/VC I think the robe is a bit of a waste on the AM since daemons all have magic attacks and VC have quite a few as well. Maybe som...

Re: 2400 Casual Competition list
Definately looks better. I just got some small suggestions. How about making that mounted noble a bit tougher. Helm of Fortune is great for this, it will give him 1+ with reroll. Also if you dont mind spending all magic item allowance then Sword of Might for prolonged fights would be good and Gem of...

Re: 2500 Shadow/PG list
kk like the concept of the list first thing one pg unit must have the razor standard next thing the ideal magic spells from your 3 decks (which i agree with you) are wildform, soulblight and skill razor so i would go for bsb on beasts and the level 2 on death as this increases your potential for th...

Banner of Sorcery, 1-2 Eagles and a BSB. Tho you prolly need to shave some points to fit that.

Re: 2500 Shadow/PG list
@SpellArchers - Yeah I prolly should have flaming, but I think I can manage w/o as well. Seems like too many spells to me. You could drop the Radiant Gem and 2nd level on the Mage and still easily use every power dice you could find every turn. While Im sure I could do that but its more about having...

Re: Unfriendly Combo?
On the top of my head I will get somewhere in line with Foxbat and add another argument to while lifebloom would work with BotWD. Since The Third Eye of Tzeentch was FAQd to being allowed to steal all Life spells but Regrowth even tho the item description says that it cant steal spells that heal. Th...

2x1300 2vs2 Death or Shadow?
Hello, Ive got a minor problem here. So me and my friends are gonna play a 2vs2 game with 1300 each. My list is as follows: BSB AoC GP GW lvl 4 SW FR 10 Arch 22 SE FC 2 GE PG FC BoS I just cant choose which lore to use out of Shadow or Death. My mates play Skaven, Brettonia and Lizardmen. We will ra...

Ive only used LoLight once and I felt the same way as you =/.
On a side note, LoLight + High Magic was a kinda fun combo, lots of spells to cast at low values, compared to LoShadow hehe

Re: Skaven, anybody else play??
in my area, Skaven are tending to be somewhat of strong main army or favoured second, given their well-thought armybook. so i get somewhat of frequent theoryhammer against them...and i suspect once i get my army all painted, one or two champions will end up as 'Ratbane' or 'Mousekiller'... cheers I...

Amulet of Fire
I was thinking about this item and the fire immunity. Since the MR applies to the whole unit of the wearer does that apply to the immunity to Flaming Attacks as well? I would assume it doesn't but it would be sweet.

Re: Always Strike First
Personally Im getting really sick of the ASF complaining. People who do complain about it are thinking very narrowly. They only see the "omg you always hit with all your attacks" part, which of course might seem unfair but they never think about the drawbacks of HE (as mentioned above). If...

I dont have my AB with me. But I would guess that would be because the lord and hero entries for DA reference to Page 57 and that is the only place that describes DA?Cloaked in shadows wrote:Its for anyone wearing dragon armour or counts as dragon armour.

As both a HE and VC player i must say a little of me dies every time someone does this. Of the tiems i've seen this done... +1 This is total cheese! There are several topics about this at warseer. I would say roll it off since both banners cant be ignored. I dont think its possible to choose which one will win.

Re: Wizard in a challenge, can he cast spells outside?
I would of course agree to play it that way as well. Generalizing as many models as possible. But I dont think its correct according to the rules. Then he would just have superior LoS. (Yeah Im not a fan of TLoS)

Re: Help With Low Point Games
BoS would be sweet but with only a lvl 2 you would still have only two spells to cast. I dont know how afraid you are of misscast but maybe switch the staff for a silver wand, three spells can get you much further. Then drop the chariot as well and get BoS and another eagle for those points.

Morgen, take a chill pill dude.
Halberds is the topic hence my comment. There was no talk about the benefits of initiative until you mentioned it. So I think the question would go back to you, what are you rambling about?
And btw, your joke wasn't that obvious.

But that is because him being a noble and not because he wields a halberd.Morgen wrote: The hero would get his speed re-roll that the sword masters might be denied against some opponents, so the higher initiative still makes a minor difference.

Re: Allied Armies abuse
Musashi, that comment made me think further about this thing. Suppose that it is ok to use the allied rules when playing 1vs1. Would it be worth playing with 2 HE armies instead of one? Pro: Two BSBs to have throughout the battlefield. Two generals to provide better Ld out there. Con: Not as easy to...

As Baleanoon said, arent these rules for when many people wanna get together to play in the same game and NOT for one person to combine different parts of each army into his big cheese collective? Anyway, afaik each army within the army gotta follow the normal composition rules. 25% core, 1 general,...
