Re: Kickstarter from shieldwolf!!!
Some pretty good miniatures there. But also quite expensive...US$60 for the Lion Riders pack alone. That's why I hope the lion only pack (without riders) gets unlocked, that's $39 for 4 lions. After all, I have plenty of spare cavalry riders. A lot better than $18 a piece with rider! The 4 lions pa...

Re: converted silver helms and other stuff
Stunning work. I really like the Silver Helm conversions - combining old and new models gives them so much character. :D I can't wait to see more. Agreed, the SH are stunning! Really love those wings on the horse's heads! Wow! I hope you don't mind if I'll steal the idea! ;-) How did you do those w...

Indeed, things like Shadow warrior heads, for instance, who can't use a few of them?!
Why not post a picture of your spares - so we can see what great stuff there is?
(I have paypal as well)

Re: New High Elf player needing some advice
My questions are the following: is a list which include the Phoenix Guard and a lot of magic viable? And which Core choices would be advisable? Sure. PG is considerd one of the best anvil units in the game. If you look at most current army lists, the most used core units are Reavers, Silver Helms a...

Re: New to airbrush... some questions
1) I know ;-) 2) I hardly ever clean the needle, I just put some water in the can and then airbrush cleaner before using another colour. Once a month I clean the whole thing. After 7 months I still encounter no problems. 3) Personally I work 22 or 23 psi. Generally people use 20-25 psi with "ai...

Re: New to airbrush... some questions
I use a Iwata HP-CS as well, .35 nozzle. Although this airgun gets recommended for miniatures, by a lot of websites, I'd rather have had a smaller nozzle, like some of the .20 or .21's (or even .15s-.18s) available. A HP-CS with .35 is nice - but it's just not accurate enough for some details. And f...

I use vallejo air for most of my paint jobs and I noticed that if I use matt varnish, the metal colours get rather grey and lose their shine.

Re: Vallejo Water texture
That's exactly what the product I linked is. If you click the link you'll see the use it for tables and bartops and the like. I was just elaborating .. I did quite a bit of research concerning the use of water in dioramas, there's quite a lot of possibilities on the market. Most of which are rather...

Re: What to Use Old Maidenguard Models as?
I've got a bach of them on ebay currently actually. http://www.ebay.com/itm/311291858502?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 There's also a nice unit of the metal seagurd on there as well. Very nice! But I wonder, is there no cheaper alternative than International Priority Shipp...

Re: What to Use Old Maidenguard Models as?
I've also got a bunch. In very large games I use them as seaguard. In house rule games I use them as maiden guard (mostly just slightly boosted seaguard). Probably a bunch of them will be sold off soon (I'll keep at least one of each sculpt though) as I work on reducing the amount of space dedicate...

Re: Vallejo Water texture
I've not used it, but from what I just looked up it's not designed to be used for the smooth surface parts of a water feature. For that I'd honestly go with something like this: http://eti-usa.com/envirotex-lite/ I use it a fair bit now and it's reasonably cheap for what it is, and works well. I'm ...

Re: How many wide?
Why would you deploy 4-wide? I've seen people go 3-wide on SH units (to put a wizard in the second rank mostly), but 4? Personally I use my units 5 wide almost exclusively. Thanks for the response! :) Well I reckoned that if you flank 3 deep 25mm or 4 deep 20mm bases (which happens a lot), 4 bases ...

How many wide?
Hi all, I'm about to order movement trays for my HE army and I'm wondering how many models wide people use their heavy cavalry, both for flanking as for a bus with heroes and mages. I noticed too wide - and it's getting harder manoeuvering around terrain pieces. So I was thinking between 4 and 6 uni...

I ordered a fresh high elf army that I plan to use since the original models I had were pretty old.. I think older than me. Looking to paint them non traditional. More like Gold, Purple. Very nice!! I'm also a "returning" player and I plan to paint my army purple with white accents. Metal...

Re: Lion Riders
With the end times stuff, another possibility could be to make them count as Cold One Knights in an End Times list. The stats aren't an exact match, but Stupidity could be explained as the lions not being entirely adjusted to service as a mount. Yes that would be a nice idea. I've seen lion riders ...
