Most games I've seen have used GW models. Lots of Warhammer players are flocking to Kings of War. High Elves transfer across very well, most asur units have their KoW equivalent.

I expected the Wood Elves to sweep around to the Outcasts empty flank on turn one, but they seemed to just shuffle about a bit. Not sure if that is the best strategy as I think the Outcasts have a ranged advantage.

Yeah that would kill High Magic for me. It was a nice lore as it was, definitely not broken but very effective with the right list and strategy. Personally I think that, if anything, it should be a little stronger. Fluff wise it is supposed to be the purest, most powerful magic in the Warhammer world.

I think this kind of build works better with an Anointed on Flamespyre. It's cheaper than the star dragon and it's really fun to follow up a Wake of Fire bombing run with a boosted shot from the reaver bow.

Everyone in my group is still playing 8th. Nobody left. Age of Sigmar has been tried and dismissed. We may consider something like 9th age at some point, but we are happy with 8th for now.

EDIT: I see, 'terrain and deployment' is missing. I'd be really interested to read that. I think it is crucial to place the units in the right way and plan ahead in how you are going to use Walk Between Worlds to set up an advantageous situation.

I've read this five times and it's changed the way I play Warhammer. This is a great article and it should definitely be in the Tactics Articles forum rather than buried down here.

I'd say Malekith is far superior in AoS to any High Elf warscroll. But otherwise it does seem like the Highborn are a bit better.
