Re: True Scale High Elves - *Sea Lord updated*

I'm a huge fan of how the helmet turned out! I think a short sword would fit well with the pose and it wouldn't get in the way when pushing models together in combat. Is there ANY chance you do commission work?

Re: True Scale High Elves - converting and sculpting *pics*

To echo the above comments the Swordmaster standard bearer and White Lion champion are amazing. The negative space around the face on the champion is very well achieved. You have a gift, thanks for sharing.

Re: 8th edition background = 40K Eldar?

I think that while the similarities to the Eldar lore were a little "slow pitch" that the Wood Elf lore as a whole was greatly enriched. I did not see Durthu being Oakenheart at all and loved that little tidbit. Detailing the different realms in Athel Loren was much needed to help illustra...

Re: On the topic of Loremasters of Hoeth

The fluff leaves that option open. The rank of Loremaster is attained by excelling in several fields of study (i.e. one Loremaster can be knowledgeable in cartography, alchemy, combat and languages). Your imagination is the limit. If you want your Loremaster to lead his personal army of disciples in...

Man, the new minis look amazing. I've read everyone other people's ideas for conversions and am really thinking that a unit of Yvressii Riftblades (veteran soldiers that hunt for tears in reality in the depthless mists that Demons attack from) will be joining my army soon!

Re: Some doubts related with elves' aristocracy

There was a White Dwarf that focused on High Elf culture when the current White Lions/Dragon Princes/Phoenix Guard came out. It says that yes Princes are those in possession of the magic weapons forged on Vaul's Anvil and that Nobles were those that fought in the army. So if you wee held in high eno...

Re: Tales of Tor Cyroc: Army Background and Fluff

I really enjoyed the piece about the goings on in the family's trade network. Any time that Asur culture gets more fleshed out is a good time, things like that give the "why" to all the big sweeping battles of Warhammer. Well done!

Re: Master of Dragons by Chris Wraight - worth it?

I liked it. It fleshes out the colonial world the High Elves built (Salendor being one of the supporting charachers). The battle scene at Tor Alessi was truly epic in proportions and showed what Dragon-riding Asur lords are capable of. The first book in the series was more from the Dwarf perspective...

I played a Noble with a lance, Golden Crown and Armour of Fortune on a fully upgraded Griffon against a friend's Dark Elf list and he performed BRILLIANTLY! I deployed him on the edge of my army and on turn 2 caught his outer-most Hyrda in the flank, killed it overran into the next, ground it down o...
