Re: This ever happen to you?

What I did was to add a 3rd color or 4th color to do some of the details on the special, rares and heroes. I started with the white and blue (since I like that scheme a lot) and then when I came to specials and rares I added some gold to the armors, thus making them stand out more while still fittin...

Re: Just keep on whinning over the skaven!

So your point is that out of the three units you've mentioned two are to be avoided because there's no combat answer to them in the HE arsenal? I see a pattern emerging in the last few ABs as far as HE answers to them. More and more things to be avoided in combat... :D

Re: Not-so-core Silver Helms?

Well, if the SH become a core unit but they don't count towards minimum core requirements they won't be played just like they don't get played now when they're special. What made the SH the best HE unit in 6th Ed was the fact that they were a reasonably good unit for it's price and would fill a core...

Re: How do I strip paint off plastics

From what I remember, Isopropyl alcohol, pinesol (or some such) and brake fluid are the best paint removers for plastic models, brake fluid being the best. I wouldn't recommend nail polish remover or just standard acetone since it can soften up or melt plastic models.

Well, as far as the discovery of the new secret facility being a proof of Iran's intention to build nuclear weapons, I tend to disagree. I'm really not surprised that the Iranians try to hide their nuclear facilities, regardless of them being intended just for civilian purposes or military ones. I'm...

Re: Google Books - publishing rights?

Well, I've got to say that the Google books is a great tool for scientific research in particular. Finding a book is not that difficult when we're talking about popular literature and so on, but when you're searching for scientific texts sometimes it can be an incredible pain in the ass. When I was ...

Re: The DP/SH problem revisited.

There is nothing wrong with SH point cost. The only thing that makes them suck is the fact they're not core. Or to put it better, their point cost in the core slot would be good since they would trump any other HE core unit for the mandatory core slots as far as cost/effectivnes ratio is concerned. ...

Re: How do you cope with 2 x hydras and a Black Dragon?

while perhaps not the most reliable solution, it seems that a dragon mage would be an interesting solution to the hydra problem 2x hydras means no rbt, right? that means less shooting for your dragon mage to dodge while getting in the right position against the hydras. Alas, the DM on top of his dr...

Re: 2 bolt throwers and 2 eagles..or 3 bolt throwers and 1 eagle

Whereas I do agree that 2 RBT + 2 Eagles is more balanced and less expensive on the points, I've found that lately, with the extra cheep monsterhammer spam in the last 4-5 books (Vargulf, Hydra, etc.) 3 RBTs + Eagle have become almost a must in my list. Most of these monsters have some form of 4+ wa...

People, most of whom in the West are white, care about paedophiles because they fear they or people like them may prey on their own children, most of whom will be white. Yes, the amulet of light is extremely good for taking care of wraiths. A particularly effective combo is DP with ellyrion banner and amulet of light, which can follow them into difficult terrain. Another good idea is using the amulet with the SMasters, although they're not as manouvrable.

My opinion is that music and video autor rights companies will, from now on, point to this law as an example of 'how it should be done' and try to impose it in other places. I on the other hand see a simple solution to this. The p2p software authors will just have to step up the efforts to include s...
