First of all, I must say your display board and your army both look stunning!
I've made a blog post about it on my blog (gave you all the credit, hope you don't mind, if so just PM me). You can find the article by clicking here.

I love the color scheme you chose, it's classic HE colors in a different way.

I like him quite a bit, you might need to work some more on the white though, it does look a little too white to me.

Re: Swordmaster's Army Pictures
Basically, I praised your work on those classical models and whined about : a) How I threw 10 plastic archers like yours to the garbage (before I knew how to remove paint) b) How my brother sold 5 classic reavers and his classic Eltharion the Grim back in like 1998 I also told my readers to go check...

Re: any experiences w/Avatars of War Elf Hero?
Borkbork has an interesting solution. Another way to make him fit is to give him a base that will make him stand higher then everyone else. Sure, it won't fit as nicely in the unit but it'll make a nice display base.

Re: Tried to do a little creativity with the spearmen...
I like it, it looks different. I'm sure that once painted, it'll be a great way to give character to the unit. You could have different units get a different feather color while retaining the same trim/cloth colors. It' a great way to give personality to similar units of an army. Alternatively, it c...

I have no idea where the quiver comes from but you managed to make those RBTs look stunning. I really love the tiny details like the eagle to dragon head swap. The overall fell of the army is very warm and the colors are very rich. Hopefully you keep bringing us such good stuff .

Wow your friends all all very good painters and don't even get me started about your skills... That being said, your Dwarf/Bret friend needs to make better bases for his units, they don't do justice to his painting!

Re: Stripping Paint
Simple Green is the way to go for plastic models if you can get it somewhere. You can leave plastic models 2 weeks in it and only the paint will come off. It's possible to remove the primer with it but it will usually stay on the mini though.

Wow that looked like an epic battle!!! I really enjoyed the battle report and I really wish the pictures would have been a bit more like the 1st ones you took. Hopefully next time, you'll have your good camera and it'll be eye candy once again!

Re: The ''Island of the Gods'' campaign.
Wow!!! I'm speechless... Both armies are stunning, the terrain is sick (especially the 2 dwarven stone faces). You sir, are blessed with a great gaming group!!! I really wish that one day, my friend and I will be able to put armies on the table that look half as good as those with some decent lookin...

Re: The Fleet of Sea Lord Sapphire
Once again a splendid miniature!!! With all the freehand work done on this one, it's hard to actually even notice the swirls... I think you should find a way to make them stand out a little more... They don't pop at all compared to the rest of the model. The mage himself is flawlessly painted, but m...

Re: The Fleet of Sea Lord Sapphire
Lots of coasts have some sort of cliffs with some grass on them. You could have patches of grass growing on the rocks.
Otherwise, maybe looking at some coast pictures would help you. What is the climate of the coast you want to emulate?

Re: The Fleet of Sea Lord Sapphire
Are you planning to keep the cork to make rocks??? If so, I could see some rocks with patch of grass for basing. The grey with some green will bring new colors to the model and make it stand out a bit more instead of making it blend in. You could look at the river trolls in mireadur's painting log o...

Re: The Fleet of Sea Lord Sapphire
Really nice work on both units!!! I really like the extra work on the shield and banners! You made the classic Blue scheme look real good! Very good work on the gems. I also like the eyes on the LSG champion's helmet. I'm not sure snowy bases will complement the models very well but I understand the...

Re: Just another HE Log (Captain of the white lions! 16/1/11)
@ Mireadur: Your painting log is the main reason I decided to buy the IoB set and eventually paint the High Elf models in there. I really like the white lion captain, he's one very interesting model! I must agree with you you though, if you compare the face to your griffon rider for instance, the wh...

I have to disagree on the comment about the bases. When you look at them individually, I must agree they don't look really nice. But looking at pictures of the whole unit on movement trays, I must admit that they look pretty awesome!

That is some really nice fluff you have going on there, kind of remind me of a back story I wrote for High Elves living in the Old World back in the days of 6th edition. I'm looking forward to see your dragon painted so you should definitely paint that next .

Re: Gildesh's painting log updated 7.1.11
I really like the different looking scheme!!! I think those LSG are some really good stuff!!! About the mage, the cape sure could use a little more work, but it's still a lot more then what most people will achieve so I wouldn't sweat it if I were you, especially considering you finished those in a ...
